Expert-led evaluations,
built around the child.

For ages 18 months through adulthood. Each assessment is tailored to the person in front of us and designed to produce a clear roadmap: answers you can act on at school, at home, and in care.

Built around your child

We meet your child where they are.

Every child thinks, plays, and learns differently — so every evaluation should, too. We take the time to understand your child as a whole person, then shape the assessment around them. The result isn't just a diagnosis; it's a clear, affirming roadmap your family can actually use.

What we evaluate

We look at the whole picture.

Autism and ADHD rarely travel alone, so our evaluations also consider what so often comes with them — anxiety, mood, learning, and more — and you leave with real understanding, not just a single label.

A closer look

Every child's story is a little different.

Autism, ADHD, and learning differences each have a page of their own. The evaluations below matter every bit as much — here's a little more about each: what it is, why families reach out, and what you'll walk away with. Open whichever sounds like your child.

Developmental Evaluations
What it is

Early, whole-child evaluations for young children — mapping communication, social connection, play, motor skills, and daily living with play-based, child-friendly tools and your own observations as a parent. Early clarity opens early support.

Families come to us when
  • Speech or language seems behind other children the same age
  • They don't respond to their name, point, or share attention the way you'd expect
  • Play looks different — repetitive, solitary, or hard to join
  • Reactions to sounds, textures, or changes in routine are big
  • A pediatrician, daycare, or your own instinct says it's worth a closer look
You'll leave with
  • A clear developmental picture
  • Next steps — early intervention, therapies, monitoring, or simply reassurance
  • A plan you can share with your pediatrician, early intervention, and school
Behavioral & Emotional Assessments
What it is

Behavior is communication. When a child is anxious, withdrawn, explosive, or struggling in ways that don't make sense, we look carefully at anxiety, mood, and regulation — and at whether ADHD, autism, a learning difference, or stress is part of the picture. We're not here to label a child as the problem; we're here to understand them, and to help the adults around them respond in ways that work.

Families come to us when
  • Worry, fear, or avoidance gets in the way of school, sleep, or friendships
  • Meltdowns or shutdowns seem out of proportion and leave everyone drained
  • Sadness, irritability, or withdrawal has lasted longer than a rough patch
  • Home and school look like two different kids
  • Strategies that work for other children just don't work for yours
You'll leave with
  • A clear understanding of what's underneath
  • The right supports for therapy, school, and home
  • A plan — for your child, and for you
Twice-Exceptional (2e) Evaluations
What it is

Twice-exceptional means a child is both gifted and neurodivergent — ADHD, autism, a learning disability, or more. Their gifts can hide their struggles, so no one thinks to look; their struggles can hide their gifts, so no one sees how capable they are. A 2e evaluation untangles the two, so your child is finally seen for everything they are.

You might recognize your child
  • Clearly bright, but underachieving
  • Brilliant on a topic they love, lost with everyday directions or organization
  • Full of ideas out loud that never quite make it onto the page
  • Called “lazy” or “not trying” while trying harder than anyone knows
  • Bored or anxious at school
  • Too advanced for support services, too challenged for gifted ones
You'll leave with
  • An integrated profile of strengths and support needs
  • Recommendations for enrichment alongside the accommodations they've been missing
  • Documentation your IEP or 504 team can use to serve a 2e learner, not just half of one
Giftedness & Cognitive Testing
What it is

Cognitive testing uses gold-standard tools to measure how your child reasons, remembers, processes, and problem-solves. It can identify giftedness, clarify an uneven profile, and reveal the strengths a child leans on. The result is a portrait of how your child's mind works — not just a number.

Families come to us when
  • A gifted program needs qualifying documentation
  • A grade skip or acceleration is on the table
  • Your child seems advanced in some areas and stuck in others
  • School testing felt incomplete
  • You simply want to understand your child's mind and how to nurture it
You'll leave with
  • A defined cognitive profile
  • The documentation many gifted programs and school decisions require
  • Practical recommendations for enrichment, placement, and keeping your child engaged
Independent Educational Evaluations
What it is

An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is a comprehensive evaluation by a qualified examiner outside your school district — for a fuller picture, a second perspective, or to add information the school team can use. Under IDEA, families have the right to request one, and depending on your situation it may be available at public expense. We see ourselves as a partner to schools: the best outcomes come when everyone at the table shares the same clear understanding of a child.

Families come to us when
  • You'd like a more comprehensive look than the school evaluation was able to include
  • The results don't quite match the child you know at home
  • You want an objective, outside perspective before an IEP or 504 meeting
  • You and the school team see things a little differently, and an independent view could help find common ground
You'll leave with
  • Independent, gold-standard testing
  • A plain-language report written for your IEP or 504 team to put to work
  • Help sharing the results constructively with your school

Whether an IEE may be covered at public expense varies by situation — we're glad to talk it through on your discovery call.

Play is how children show us

Assessment that feels like play.

For many children, our tools look more like play than a test — wooden blocks, games, and hands-on activities. It lets us see how your child thinks, solves, and explores, at their own pace and on their own terms.

Not sure where to start?

We'll help you find the right evaluation.

Every family's first step is the same: a complimentary discovery call. We'll listen to your concerns and recommend the assessment that fits — no pressure, no guesswork.
